here
this guy is such a weirdo. his name is Ross. we got a mixed room at the hostel we stayed at in Frankfurt. He came in out of nowhere prancing around in that mini towel of his. I couldn't help but laugh. a lot. then he smelled the crotch of his shorts. oh dear. such a weirdo. he went with us to the tower overseeing the city building and the whole time he was hitting on my buddy Alex, the one who works at the hostel. so Ross is quite annoying when he talks, when we were talking about language he kept on butting in and telling us the origin of words and what we are saying wrong and what things really mean. good golly. he wants to translate the German constitution to English and translate his thesis into German. who knows what his thesis is about. I didn't want to ask cuz then he would never shut up. homeboy knows a lot, but oh my, if i could, I would throw his 2 cents back at him many many times. freaking crazies.
boys.
alright. here we go. i just finished reading the emails you sent me. I am going to blog then reply to you. So today was the first day of school. We go from 830 to about 4 everyday. Dude. We are going to the European parliament on Friday in France. How sweet is that. Today was just long. JJ, Lydia and I went to the pubs last night after the futbol game and I didn't get much sleep. These people are nuts. They partied as if we didn't lose the game! We were at this pub that looked like a bat cave. it was pretty cool. Everyone was dancing on tables and jumping around. There was this one weirdo on the table we were standing next to so of course I got up next to him and started busting out my crazy dance moves. I'm having a lot of fun over here. I've met so many people. There are 35 of us that are in this program. A bunch are from China. I met a boy! His name is Lou (pronounced like low) he is freaking hilarious. I love messing around with him. He says such funny things and he is super shy so he always runs away from me. He always mixes his numbers up. He told me his flight was 30 hours long (when eventually I figured out that he meant 13) cuz we were like did you fly around the world and back again? Then he showed me a picture of him and his girlfriend that he keeps in his wallet. they have been going out for 5 6 4 years. hahaaahha. he wasnt sure. I asked if he drinks and he said he tried it before and he goes. yes. but i failed. then i was like. you failed or you fell?? and he was like. yes. both. hahahahahah. If you met this kid, you would love him. I'm telling you. He is like a fun sidekick to have around. Too bad he isn't my sidekick cuz he always tries to avoid me when he sees me. He doesn't get very far though because his room like across the hall from me. haha SUCKER. oh there is another boy. JJ. by my standards, he is good looking. by your standards, probably not so much. He is 22 and goes to SanDiego State. 6 foot 4 inches. played football and baseball and has these blue eyes you can fall in love with. I'm gonna answer all your questions. No. I am not interested. No. He probably isn't interested either. No. nothing is gonna happen nor do I want anything to happen. Yes. I know. Lame. We get along but thats about as far as it goes. All he wants to do is drink. Our conversations aren't that great. No butterflies. More like cocoons. hey look! I think your girl is growing up!HAHHAHAHA omg. Lou is singing some Chinese song right now. really really loud. I can hear him with the doors closed. HAHAHHAHHAH. gotta shower. k bye.

no title
hey hey party people. so there is this girl that i roll my eyes at a lot. ok well not physically roll my eyes, cuz that would be kind of rude, but it's more of a roll my eyes to myself in my head. she says such stupid shit sometimes. I want to shove a sock in her mouth. good golly. Lisa says i should ditch her but i really don't have the heart to. yes, i know i don't have any obligation to anybody and i should have the first day but oh well. we are still in Frankfurt right now and are gonna head to the train station in a bit to go to Heidelberg. school starts tomorrow. oooOOo how exciting. it better be freaking exciting. there is really not much to see in Frankfurt. it's like the banking capital of Europe, so unless you really really like banks in really tall buildings, this should just be a rest stop. man, there is so much to say. Germany is totally environmentally friendly. all their cars are super small and probably 95 percent of them are manual transmission. so the thing about driving here is that it costs about 2 grand (not sure euros or american dollars) to take the driving class and you have to take the test three months later and you only have one chance to pass. OH. drinking and driving. you get a DUI once, and your license is suspended for 10 months. second time, it's taken away forever. also, there is no speed limit. you can go as fast as your vehicle can go. omg. and the bathrooms are clean. ALL OF THEM. its pretty amazing. ok heres the juicy stuff. you all have been waiting for. the boys! haah. sorry to disappoint you, but there is no one here that i would take a second glance at. their eyes are freaking nice though, but everything else, bleh. well, there is one thing. their flood pants totally turn me on. ohhhh baby baby. come to mama! i would love to caress their hairy ankles against my cheeks. HAHAH SICK! i've met a lot of people in the last few days. there is this guy named alex. totally cool. he was the one that checked me in ( not check me out- for those who can't read correctly) at the hostel. i was asking what there is to do around here and he invited us to go to this tower the overlooks frankfurt with some other Gabi and Becky. these chicks are way cool. we all got ice cream and got some apple wine and went to dinner after. Gabi is brazilian but she lived in the US for some time and studied abroad in New Zealand. i think she is about 26 now and just moved to germany cuz she loves it here. when we were on that tower thing, she was like my personal tour guide. awesome. then there is Becky. also cool. she is from Toronto, Canada and wants to move here too. the part that totally sucks is that i wish you all were here with me. yeah. that and every time i see something, it reminds me of someone and i want to bring it home for you, but i cant cuz it's only been like three days and i have no room in my luggage and the money cuz i gotta spend wisely and hopefully ill still be rich in the end to bring you nice things. i would so give you the world if i could. I don't miss home yet, but i definitely think about you a lot. i bought gummy bears for cat, but i think i might eat them. haha sorry homegirl. i'll be thinking about you when i bite their heads off. i know you really like them bears. I love you all a ton. hope you are all doing well. dude. email me so i can really talk to you. yeah. email is much more personal then this blog. moniquele87@yahoo.com. miss you !

quick preview
- Flight was alright. We flew Air India. PROS: it was non stop, the two seats next to me were empty so I could lift the arm rests up and slept the whole time. CONS: some guy whacked me with his luggage, food was not so good. DUH. air india. Thanks to Cindy I was expecting cup of noodles, but no. I got a bag of pretzels. A few hours later, I got some sort of Indian food. lame. The entree was rice and some sort of tofu curry. not big on rice, especially Indian, dry, long grain rice, so I ate like three pieces of tofu and some pieces of fruit. Then for breakfast, they gave me like 2 pieces of bread. omg.
-Frankfurt Airport. Of course I am the only one hassled by customs. Maybe it was because I had this stupid goofy smile and said HI HOW ARE YOU? gosh. people at the airport are so unenthusiastic. He let the other two girls go by, no questions asked. We proceeded to claim our baggage. Then, as we were trying to exchange currency ( it was about 430pm), the german policia come by and kick us out. YOU HAVE TO GO! goodness gracious. bad start. we book the cheapest hotel room we can find just so we had a place to stay for the night and its in the middle of nowhere. literally. when you exit the freeway, the road takes to straight to the hotel.
-Downtown Frankfurt. We take the train downtown to watch the soccer game. soccer is HUGE here. everyone is in the street chillin. there is this plaza with a huge tv in the middle of it, so everyone is outside watching the game. once the game is over (ESPANA WON! spain and germany sunday!) everyone is cheering and holding flags and dancing all over the streets and blowing whistles and horns and playing drums. good golly. drums. in the middle of the street. like it's a parade. at 11 o clock at night. long day, so we go back to the room.
-Taxi ride home. this, by far has got to be the highlight of my night. I sit in the front trying to learn German from the driver and homie is listening to fiddy cent. Then busta rhymes is on and we start talking about music. he loves rap, but not gangster rap and is amazed that i know what these rappers are saying. he doesn't understand at all, even though he has been bobbing his head the whole time. so then i say ' you like the beats' cuz he is really into the missy elliot song we are listening to. and he is like YES! then i go ' you like timbaland'. " YES, I LOVE TIMBALAND. HE IS BEST PRODUCER. HE HAS SHIT IN HANDS. SHIT IN HANDS AND HE PRODUCE, BEST THING EVER!" haha. love it.
