omg
I'm still alive and having fun! I just haven't had internet access in about a week. good golly. I had about 95 emails when i checked my mail the other day. This is what has been going on in my life. Let's start with last weekend. umm. drinking and clubbing? That's all we do. gosh. you are right amy. i club more here than i do back at home. I do not like clubbing that much at home, and it's definitely not my favorite here, but that's all Tyler wants to freaking do. He is cool, but I don't get too close to him cuz he is one of those bags of dirt that like to be around too much. ohh wait. we went to the pool last saturday i believe. the pool was cool. it was a very nice warm sunny day ( we don't get very many of those in Germany). There were two big swim areas. one for actually swimming and one for playing, i guess. it had a slide. woohoo. and a nice grass area where people were laying in the shade. pretty nice. then sunday happened. oh man. we went to the vineyard on sunday morning. what a trip that was. 30 drunk foreign kids on a sunday morning drinking on empty stomachs. someone was bound to throw up. i was bound. so we were supposed to taste 10 different wines. one sparkling. one rose. five white wines. and 3 red wines. Tyler doesn't drink and Emileigh can't really either, so they thought it would be funny to get me drunk and pour their glasses into mine when i went to talk to people at other tables. I thought I could hang. boy was i wrong. As soon as we left the wine tasting to get lunch, I started throwing up in the grass nearby. how gross. I never want to do that ever again. drinking is overrated. anyways. this is what happened. i started throwing up in the grass, and what do the Germans do? naturally, you would call the ambulance, right?? goodness gracious. that is what they did. they freaking called the ambulance and threw me in there (after i was done throwing up). oh my. a good thing about germany is that they don't slap me with a bill unless they actually drive me somewhere. i went home on the bus with the rest of the class. thank freaking goodness. ok. that was sunday. on Monday night, Tyler, JJ and I went to this Irish pub to see a live Irish band. that was awkward. we walked in and there were like a few guys playing the flute or something. so we left and walked around for a bit. Tuesday, I think we went on an excursion to a brewery. YAY!. more drunk kids on a Tuesday morning before lecture. don't worry guys, I had half a beer and gave it away. THEN, after this long day of walking around and trying to catch trains, we have to go back to school to have a midterm study session cuz we have a test the following morning. poor planning. yes. i know. Wednesday morning comes along and we all take the midterm. right after the midterm, my roomate, Yaeji, this cute Korean girl, which I love to death, talks to Norman, one of the summer program leaders, because she has been getting bug bites all over her body. I'm not gonna lie, it was pretty gnarley. I am sitting in lecture a few hours later when she comes back and calls me outside. she is so sad and apologizes to me because I guess she had bed bugs or some kind of allergic reaction and we have to move out of the room we were currently staying in. she felt super bad, but it wasn't her fault. So I have to leave class and wash all my clothes, just in case there were bugs or something that might get me. As we are watiting for the tram, I run into Carmen. I also love her. she tells me that Norman told her to go to the hospital because she stayed with me and Yaeji a few nights that week and she might be "infected". so we both go to the hostpital to get checked out. We jump on a bus into town and it takes us in a huge circle because they switched drivers and were changing routes. ugh. so we hop on another bus to take us to the hospital. long story short. sorry. this story is kind of long. we get checked out and nothing is wrong with us except a few bites on our arms and it is not a disease or contagious or anything and i have to pay 50 fucking euro. omg. they refunded me 20 today and i have to get the rest back through the insurance i bought for this trip. that whole day trip to the hospital took 4 hours and i missed like 2 lectures. wait. that is not the end of it. we have to move out of our room in the city and they put us in single rooms at the guesthouse on campus. what a pain in the ass it is to move. halfway through the program, we have to change everything and move. it gets better.I have to skip out on the excursion to the castle the next day to do laundry cuz the machines take 80 mintues to wash and 80 minutes to dry. oh my. so we stay in our own rooms that night. the next morning, Yaeji knocks on my door and says that i need to pack up all my belongings again because they are moving us into a double room so we can stay together. BUT there is no room ready for us, so we need to pack and leave our stuff there so that they can move it for us while we have our lessons for the day. we come back to our rooms later that day and our stuff isn't there and the receptionist desk is now closed. OMG. we call information and they don't speak english so he has to transfer us to somebody who can understand. we go to the office to get the key and thank goodness our stuff in our new room. so now we are finally settled into the suite, with 4 days left of school and everything is fine. this is the reason I have not had internet connection for so long cuz it took me forever to get it set up after all these events. i swear, i am like a magnet for absurdities. on a lighter note. during all this, we go on a few excursions. one to another castle and an opera at the castle that i missed the field trip of and we went to the mercedes benz factory and museum the other day. that was my favorite one i think. even though it was hot when we left and by the time we got there, there were these raindrops that felt like mini water balloons dropping on our heads. good golly. what a week. there is more but i probably forgot a lot of it. just a few more days and i am done. lectures. excursions. a final on friday and I am done! ok. love you. I'll try to post again soon
GAH
Alright. So before I go on about anything else, I need to rant about this dumb bitch. Good golly. Ok let me just tell you about what has happened within the last 20 minutes that has got me totally agitated. FIRST. Well not first, but pretty much the icing on the cake was when this dumb whore littered. Oh my dear lord. I wanted to hit her upside the head. So we went to the market to stock up on some brewskis for our refrigerators. Isaac was walking with his pack and his carrier broke. So Emileigh (the dumb whore. Who legally changed the spelling of her name one day because she was bored and felt like being original.) FUCKING THREW THE CARRIER ON THE GROUND AND LEFT IT THERE! I was so ticked off. You don’t even know how mad I was when I went to pick up the trash, as I kindly asked her not to litter. Thank goodness she picked it up before I got there or else I would have chucked it at her head. THEN she comes into our room and sits on my bed. OMG. Not even the foot of the bed, but near my pillow. With her dirty clothes and feet. GAH! THEN, as I look around the room, I notice her purse on my towel. I gently threw her stupid bag on the floor. What I really wanted to do was throw it off my balcony. THEN, she finally decides to move her ass away from my bed and sits on the chair, which my sweater is on, and she didn’t even freaking move my sweater!!!!!!! That all just happened right now. Pretty much, the real reason why I don’t like her is because she speaks in such a stuck up way. She talks down to people and insinuates things when she doesn’t know shit about anyone or anything. Also, her voice is quite annoying and loud. At first, she seemed cool. Maybe cuz she didn’t really talk. If she keeps her mouth closed, she looks like a nice girl. But, no. Unfortunately she is not. It is really hard for me not to dislike her. I’m trying to be nice. I really am. Good golly, I was the one who invited her to the market and we missed the effing tram cuz we had to wait for her. She makes this very difficult for me. I don’t really know her and I don’t want to know her. I feel really bad for having such animosity, but I find myself holding my tongue a lot when she is around. Gosh. In a perfect world, she would get an elbow to the face.

hi
Morning. It's Sunday morning right now. about 9:49 am. You guys are probably still out and about looking for trouble over there in the states. I think the last time I posted was.. I don't know, maybe beginning of this week? So we all started school on Monday. Most of the time school is fun. Really tiring though. Breakfast is served around 7am and we have to catch a bus and hop on the tram to be in class by 8:30. Then we have lessons until about 6:30. Kinda really gross. All the Chinese kids sleep through class because the teachers speak to fast for them to comprehend so they just sleep. There are about 8 kids from China and they have their professor with them, but the professor falls asleep too. We had a summer festival on campus on Wednesday and the whole China crew totally ditched it to go shopping in Mannheim. Kind of funny. The summer festival was fun. They let us out of our lessons about an hour and a half early so JJ and I found this bar cafe on campus and had a couple beers before we went. They separated us into groups to compete in limbo, potato sack racing, fishing for ducks in the pond, and building sand castles. It was really fun. My group got third place in the whole thing. We were the only foreign group that got placed. HOLLA. they gave us a bottle of sparkling wine and food and drink tickets. We pretty much drank on campus from like 3 til midnight that day. With these Germans and how they drink , I really gotta pace myself. I've been doing well in the drinking department. Thank goodness I can't take much, cuz it is so expensive over here. On Friday we went to the European Parliament in Strausburg, France. I really like that city. I really like this city. Everyday I am here, I can see myself living here more and more. The last two nights we went to the disco.A lot of fun. They really like house/trance/techno music here. You know me, I'm not so much into that. I have realized that guys here are bags of dirt. The German ones are ok. I haven't come across any bad ones yet, but the American ones that are in the program. Dirt. Arrogant bags of dirt I tell you. I just want to tell them to shut the fuck up. I actually did on the bus yesterday and also called him an asshole. GAH. The only ones I like are JJ and Felipe. There are a few others I like but I hang out with these two the most cuz Felipe is in this hostel and JJ is a few blocks away so he kicks it here a lot. Felipe is cool cuz he is down for whatever and there is no drama with him. His intentions aren't to get girls or anything. He is just enjoying this trip. JJ is cool cuz he is just way mellow. He just wants to have fun and doesn't talk about girls in a derogatory way. He is pretty much my body guard. ok gtg vine tasting. ill talk about the girls later.

here
this guy is such a weirdo. his name is Ross. we got a mixed room at the hostel we stayed at in Frankfurt. He came in out of nowhere prancing around in that mini towel of his. I couldn't help but laugh. a lot. then he smelled the crotch of his shorts. oh dear. such a weirdo. he went with us to the tower overseeing the city building and the whole time he was hitting on my buddy Alex, the one who works at the hostel. so Ross is quite annoying when he talks, when we were talking about language he kept on butting in and telling us the origin of words and what we are saying wrong and what things really mean. good golly. he wants to translate the German constitution to English and translate his thesis into German. who knows what his thesis is about. I didn't want to ask cuz then he would never shut up. homeboy knows a lot, but oh my, if i could, I would throw his 2 cents back at him many many times. freaking crazies.
boys.
alright. here we go. i just finished reading the emails you sent me. I am going to blog then reply to you. So today was the first day of school. We go from 830 to about 4 everyday. Dude. We are going to the European parliament on Friday in France. How sweet is that. Today was just long. JJ, Lydia and I went to the pubs last night after the futbol game and I didn't get much sleep. These people are nuts. They partied as if we didn't lose the game! We were at this pub that looked like a bat cave. it was pretty cool. Everyone was dancing on tables and jumping around. There was this one weirdo on the table we were standing next to so of course I got up next to him and started busting out my crazy dance moves. I'm having a lot of fun over here. I've met so many people. There are 35 of us that are in this program. A bunch are from China. I met a boy! His name is Lou (pronounced like low) he is freaking hilarious. I love messing around with him. He says such funny things and he is super shy so he always runs away from me. He always mixes his numbers up. He told me his flight was 30 hours long (when eventually I figured out that he meant 13) cuz we were like did you fly around the world and back again? Then he showed me a picture of him and his girlfriend that he keeps in his wallet. they have been going out for 5 6 4 years. hahaaahha. he wasnt sure. I asked if he drinks and he said he tried it before and he goes. yes. but i failed. then i was like. you failed or you fell?? and he was like. yes. both. hahahahahah. If you met this kid, you would love him. I'm telling you. He is like a fun sidekick to have around. Too bad he isn't my sidekick cuz he always tries to avoid me when he sees me. He doesn't get very far though because his room like across the hall from me. haha SUCKER. oh there is another boy. JJ. by my standards, he is good looking. by your standards, probably not so much. He is 22 and goes to SanDiego State. 6 foot 4 inches. played football and baseball and has these blue eyes you can fall in love with. I'm gonna answer all your questions. No. I am not interested. No. He probably isn't interested either. No. nothing is gonna happen nor do I want anything to happen. Yes. I know. Lame. We get along but thats about as far as it goes. All he wants to do is drink. Our conversations aren't that great. No butterflies. More like cocoons. hey look! I think your girl is growing up!HAHHAHAHA omg. Lou is singing some Chinese song right now. really really loud. I can hear him with the doors closed. HAHAHHAHHAH. gotta shower. k bye.

no title
hey hey party people. so there is this girl that i roll my eyes at a lot. ok well not physically roll my eyes, cuz that would be kind of rude, but it's more of a roll my eyes to myself in my head. she says such stupid shit sometimes. I want to shove a sock in her mouth. good golly. Lisa says i should ditch her but i really don't have the heart to. yes, i know i don't have any obligation to anybody and i should have the first day but oh well. we are still in Frankfurt right now and are gonna head to the train station in a bit to go to Heidelberg. school starts tomorrow. oooOOo how exciting. it better be freaking exciting. there is really not much to see in Frankfurt. it's like the banking capital of Europe, so unless you really really like banks in really tall buildings, this should just be a rest stop. man, there is so much to say. Germany is totally environmentally friendly. all their cars are super small and probably 95 percent of them are manual transmission. so the thing about driving here is that it costs about 2 grand (not sure euros or american dollars) to take the driving class and you have to take the test three months later and you only have one chance to pass. OH. drinking and driving. you get a DUI once, and your license is suspended for 10 months. second time, it's taken away forever. also, there is no speed limit. you can go as fast as your vehicle can go. omg. and the bathrooms are clean. ALL OF THEM. its pretty amazing. ok heres the juicy stuff. you all have been waiting for. the boys! haah. sorry to disappoint you, but there is no one here that i would take a second glance at. their eyes are freaking nice though, but everything else, bleh. well, there is one thing. their flood pants totally turn me on. ohhhh baby baby. come to mama! i would love to caress their hairy ankles against my cheeks. HAHAH SICK! i've met a lot of people in the last few days. there is this guy named alex. totally cool. he was the one that checked me in ( not check me out- for those who can't read correctly) at the hostel. i was asking what there is to do around here and he invited us to go to this tower the overlooks frankfurt with some other Gabi and Becky. these chicks are way cool. we all got ice cream and got some apple wine and went to dinner after. Gabi is brazilian but she lived in the US for some time and studied abroad in New Zealand. i think she is about 26 now and just moved to germany cuz she loves it here. when we were on that tower thing, she was like my personal tour guide. awesome. then there is Becky. also cool. she is from Toronto, Canada and wants to move here too. the part that totally sucks is that i wish you all were here with me. yeah. that and every time i see something, it reminds me of someone and i want to bring it home for you, but i cant cuz it's only been like three days and i have no room in my luggage and the money cuz i gotta spend wisely and hopefully ill still be rich in the end to bring you nice things. i would so give you the world if i could. I don't miss home yet, but i definitely think about you a lot. i bought gummy bears for cat, but i think i might eat them. haha sorry homegirl. i'll be thinking about you when i bite their heads off. i know you really like them bears. I love you all a ton. hope you are all doing well. dude. email me so i can really talk to you. yeah. email is much more personal then this blog. moniquele87@yahoo.com. miss you !

quick preview
- Flight was alright. We flew Air India. PROS: it was non stop, the two seats next to me were empty so I could lift the arm rests up and slept the whole time. CONS: some guy whacked me with his luggage, food was not so good. DUH. air india. Thanks to Cindy I was expecting cup of noodles, but no. I got a bag of pretzels. A few hours later, I got some sort of Indian food. lame. The entree was rice and some sort of tofu curry. not big on rice, especially Indian, dry, long grain rice, so I ate like three pieces of tofu and some pieces of fruit. Then for breakfast, they gave me like 2 pieces of bread. omg.
-Frankfurt Airport. Of course I am the only one hassled by customs. Maybe it was because I had this stupid goofy smile and said HI HOW ARE YOU? gosh. people at the airport are so unenthusiastic. He let the other two girls go by, no questions asked. We proceeded to claim our baggage. Then, as we were trying to exchange currency ( it was about 430pm), the german policia come by and kick us out. YOU HAVE TO GO! goodness gracious. bad start. we book the cheapest hotel room we can find just so we had a place to stay for the night and its in the middle of nowhere. literally. when you exit the freeway, the road takes to straight to the hotel.
-Downtown Frankfurt. We take the train downtown to watch the soccer game. soccer is HUGE here. everyone is in the street chillin. there is this plaza with a huge tv in the middle of it, so everyone is outside watching the game. once the game is over (ESPANA WON! spain and germany sunday!) everyone is cheering and holding flags and dancing all over the streets and blowing whistles and horns and playing drums. good golly. drums. in the middle of the street. like it's a parade. at 11 o clock at night. long day, so we go back to the room.
-Taxi ride home. this, by far has got to be the highlight of my night. I sit in the front trying to learn German from the driver and homie is listening to fiddy cent. Then busta rhymes is on and we start talking about music. he loves rap, but not gangster rap and is amazed that i know what these rappers are saying. he doesn't understand at all, even though he has been bobbing his head the whole time. so then i say ' you like the beats' cuz he is really into the missy elliot song we are listening to. and he is like YES! then i go ' you like timbaland'. " YES, I LOVE TIMBALAND. HE IS BEST PRODUCER. HE HAS SHIT IN HANDS. SHIT IN HANDS AND HE PRODUCE, BEST THING EVER!" haha. love it.
